Join us for “Cape Ann’s Coastlines: Housing and Marshes” on Saturday, March 7 at 1-3:00 PM at the Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester.
Harvard Professor Charles Waldheim will present the findings of his team’s research on the potential for new ways of understanding and managing Cape Ann’s coasts — that are under increasing pressures from real estate development, pollution, sea level rise and intensifying storms.
Professor Waldheim will lay out evolving landscape management practices that can simultaneously address our needs for affordable housing, economic growth and fiscal stability of municipal budgets, and stewardship of healthy marshes, tidelands, and harbors.
There will also be a Q & A after the presentation with the audience.
