A webinar Exploring Offshore Wind (OSW) Opportunities for Cape Ann will be held on May 3 at 7-8:30pm. The event is sponsored by the Community Building & Education Group of the Cape Ann Climate Coalition.
Speakers will talk about the proposed plans for Salem as a port supporting the offshore wind projects, and what the future of offshore wind development will look like. They will also talk about roles other ports could play and the types of jobs that will be created.
Massachusetts is moving forward in a significant way with OSW plans as a means to reach net-zero greenhouse gas targets. We need to be informed and make informed decisions about the things we need and love. We hope additional webinars will follow on other topics connected with OSW such as the protection of marine life and sustainable fishing.
